An ex-Sydney Labor Party figure and Catholic priest has been sentenced to at least 14 years in prison for the ongoing sexual exploitation of young boys in Southeast Asia.
Peter Andrew Hansen was jailed for 19 years, with a 14-year non-parole period, on Friday after pleading guilty to 31 charges, including several counts of sexual intercourse with a child outside Australia and producing child abuse material.
Hansen, now 63, was arrested and hauled through Sydney Airport in handcuffs in October 2018 after police were tipped off about his predatory activity in Vietnam and the Philippines. Read More...
